The M4 Project

This site was an original idea by Elaine Matta and Steve Rayer (both Llanedeyrn Primary School teachers) to ease transition for Year 6 pupils from Glyncoed Junior School, Bryn Celyn, Springwood, Llanedeyrn Primary Schools to Llanedeyrn High School.

It is part of a project started back in 2003, which acompanies a video and booklet for the chidren to use in school and at home with parents.

With the grateful help and commitemnt from the staff at the 5 schools - may of whom have now moved on - Judith Beck at Cardiff LEA and the 'professional' touch added by Practical Media Limited, the M4 Project has continued to flourish.

Each year since its creation, all year 6 children in the Llanedeyrn and Pentwyn Cluster of schools have been involved in the after school activities and have benefited from making the move to high school a far less daunting experience.

The work the children have completed over the years is included on this site as well as all the information, direction, timetables and lots more for the children Moving Forward to Llanedeyrn High School.
