Mrs
Delve:
"I thought that the M4 Project was an asset
to my son, as it taught him to integrate with children who were
not in his school. I also thought that he had become more confident
and his conversations with me became more logical. I hope that this
facility will be available for my daughter, who will be going into
year 7 next year. Elliot learnt lessons that could not be taught
in school. Thank you to the teachers who provided this for him."
Mrs
Wilson:
"I think the M4 Project was a really good
idea. Matthew seemed at ease on the first day of term because he
was already familiar with the layout of the school and had some
idea of what was going to happen when he got there. I think all
of his questions were answered in the video and having already met
some of his teachers, made his first day less daunting. Matthew
has settled in really well and although he would never admit it
- I think he's enjoying school!"
Chris
Dawe and James Jacobs' Parents:
"Chris and James really enjoyed the M4
Project. From our view, the M4 Project helped build their confidence
and self-esteem. They met and made quite a few friends from other
schools involved in the project. It also helped them move from a
small school to a much larger and bigger school. Without the M4
Project, Chris and James would, without doubt, be and feel very
anxious and nervous about settling in and making new friends. For
the benefit of other children, we hope the M4 Project will continue."
Mr
McNaughton: (Whose son Lloyd didn't even go to LHS!)
"A smooth move and uneventful step from
Glyncoed to Cardiff High. Thanks to the M4 project, Lloyd looked
forward with relish to his time in high school. From getting lost
to making lots of new friends,it seems that a lot of the scenarios
played out in the film have been replayed and all have been taken
in his stride. Without a doubt the project has made this seemingly
giant leap from junior to high school a hop into the world of 'cool'."
