Mrs Cook :

"Pupils have appeared to be more prepared for starting at the high school - comments such as "less nervous", "looking forward ..." have come to my attention. Pupils developed a sense of belonging to their new school as they became aware of staff, pupils and the environment of the high school. Pupils interacted very well when working in groups from all the primary schools and year 7. Fears of the first day at high school certainly lessoned due to the impact of the video. Children involved directly with the project, obviously discussed their involvement with peer groups back in the primary classroom and has had an impact upon the rest of their year group. On my visits to the primary schools, year 6 children in general, were far more aware of what to expect at the high school."

Mrs Smith:

"I was pleased to see how well the children from Springwood mixed with the other children. They all performed extremely confidently in front of the cameras - all naturals!"

Mr Rayer:

"I was very pleased with the commitment of the 50 youngsters throughout the whole project. Their attitude does them, their schools and their parents alot of credit. The children from Llanedeyrn Primary School loved making new friends in readiness for the move to year 7 and have left year 6 with far more confidence and a more positive outlook on the move forward."

Mr Skinner :

"As the group had gelled so well, it was good to see that the children from Bryn Celyn mixed so well with children from the other year 6 schools. I was pleased to see that this continued when we all met at the high school in October"

Mrs O'Donovan:

"The project helped enormously in preparing the children and they seemed more confident in dealing with new situations and meeting new people."
